As a global player in construction and services, Bouygues Construction designs, builds and operates buildings and structures that improve the quality of people's living and working environment: public and private buildings, transport infrastructures and energy and communications networks.
A leader in sustainable construction, the Group and its 55,400 employees have a long-term commitment to helping their customers shape a better life.
The Bouygues Construction Group has produced a large volume of photographic and audiovisual contents over the years, and thus wished to rationalize and optimize the management of its media assets. To achieve this goal, the Communication Department of Bouygues Construction wanted to set up a platform to store, manage and browse these photos and videos.
Bouygues Construction considered that Opsomai's "Cloud" platform based on its "Opsis Media" Media Asset Management software could fulfill their requirements. Opsomai is dedicated to design, implementation, hosting and exploitation of Web platforms for archiving and delivering multimedia contents.
This new "Digital workplace" hosted by Opsomai in its datacenters located in the suburb of Paris (France), proposes to all the collaborators of the Bouygues Construction Group more than 50.000 photos and 300 videos, through a secured SSO connection from their Intranet. These contents are indexed by the powerful full text engine of Opsis Media, and can be searched through numerous criteria.
After having selected videos and photos in the database, and eventually defined their own extracts thanks to the included on-line editing tool, Bouygues Construction collaborators can order their cart and download the corresponding media files (according to their access rights). They can also download a DVD image of their cart, ready to be burned on a DVD-Video that is compatible with any DVD-Player.
