39 years old Vincent Prost is a consulting
engineer, holder of a diploma in electronic engineering
ENSERG (INPG) and a master degree in image and sound at
ENST Paris (Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications
de Paris). His fields of competence are, on one hand, new
technologies – Internet, Intranet, workflow, electronic
document management, archiving engineering -, and on the
other, audiovisual and multimedia engineering.
Research and Development engineer at the Institut national
de l'audiovisuel (INA)’s audiovisual archives department
from 1991 to 1997, he has been project manager of Phonothèque’s
(radio archives) documentary system and carried out an
expertise on foreign TV documentary systems (China and
Mexico). As such, he also designed a multimedia analysis
software for audiovisual documents as well as a noise reduction
software for sound documents.
From 1997 to 1999, being in charge of Études et
Développements (Research and Development) at the
Inathèque de France (copyright registration library
for radio and television), he was project manager for the
creation of a platform enabling Bibliothèque de
France to consult Inathèque’s collection.
He also compiled Cd-Roms presenting university research
works, and ran the documentary data base and Internet/Intranet
sites.
In charge of the “Équipements et Administration” system
structure (fourteen people), from 1999 to 2002, at the
INA’s projects and methods department, he organised
a user’s assistance scheme (five hundred users, six
hundred PCs), and managed a third party applicative maintenance
as well as the administration of the information systems
(twelve HP-UX servers, thirty NT servers, fifty Oracle
bases, thirty Basis bases). At the same time, coordinating
assistance to the project owner for the “Plan patrimoine”,
he set up a workflow to process commercial transfers and
supervised the MPEG digitization along with putting online
audiovisual documents (one hundred thousand hours in three
years’ time). Last but not least, he designed and
set up a multilingual data base of TV programs for twelve
Mediterranean countries (CapMed).
Since December 2002, he has been counselling advisor for
Opsomai in matters of management and distribution of audiovisual
and multimedia contents dealing with Internet operators,
territorial authorities, holders of television channels
and archives. |
