39 years old, Pascal Vuylsteker is a data processing engineer. He obtained the Diploma of Engineer of École Nationale Supérieure de Physique de Marseille, recently incorporated into the École Centrale de Marseille, followed by a Diploma of Advanced Studies in Computer Science (DEA d'Informatique Mathématique et Application), at the École Polytechnique and the École Normale Supérieure de la rue d'Ulm.

Between 1994 and 2000, Pascal launched the Internet business of the Institut National de l’Audiovisuel (INA): he developed the MediaPort and INA’s official Web site. Doing so, he hired the Web Department of INA, and realized several studies about online services for other companies, including the Bank of Programs and Services (BPS) of La Cinquième. He was also actively involved in the Imagina exhibition dealing of new images and coorganized by INA. Then he was an IT lecturer for 5 years at the Australian National University (ANU) in Canberra, where he taught new media and virtual reality.

Pascal joined Opsomai when he came back to France, during 2006 Fall, to provide consultancy and expertise. He works mainly on studies heading at new services development for telecommunication operators and audiovisual archives owners. Besides, Pascal provides to Opsomai technology intelligence around new online multimedia services. Last but not least, Pascal also develops multimedia tools for Mac OS X when needed.
